We were thrilled to see Care Home Open Week 2024 took place from 24th to 30th June, and we were eager to hear about how our clients across the UK celebrated.
What Was Care Home Open Week?
Care Home Open Week was a national initiative designed to celebrate the vital role of social care. With thousands of care homes participating, it was a fantastic opportunity to showcase the incredible work done. Why Participate?
Care Home Open Week provided a brilliant platform to engage with local communities, build valuable relationships, and highlight the positive impact of care services.
The Importance of Community Engagement
At Insequa we understood the importance of community engagement. We often discussed this with our clients during tender processes, focusing on social value and collaborative partnerships.
Connecting Clients with Local Services
Building strong community links and partnerships with local services, groups, and individuals significantly enhanced the care experience for clients. It helped them connect socially, explore local events and activities, and access services that promoted independence and well-being.
Recruitment and Career Development: Showcasing Care Homes
Care Home Open Week was an excellent opportunity to promote recruitment campaigns. Care homes provided insights into what it was like to be a carer, and highlighted the training and career development opportunities offered.
Supporting Young People in Social Care
Care homes supported young people studying social care by offering them first-hand experience within their facilities.
